How does a local food enterprise tackle food poverty? By having a clear mission: and working in partnership with the local communities of East London. A new brand identity for The Community Food Enterprise (CFE) charity, based in the London Borough of Newham.

CFE mission is to tackle food poverty in East London, the third highest population of the London boroughs. With the commission to rebrand the business, to appeal to its wider local base – a raising sun was developed to provide a since of hope and life-giving energy, alongside a more empowering brand pledge ‘Here until food poverty isn’t’ was developed and launched.

CFE presented a great opportunity to create a more positive visual symbol for this unforgettable local business. Inspired by the rising sun symbol of hope and its usage makes for a more impactful logo, that better reflects CFE ambition to make a difference in the communities its serves.

‘Fighting Food Poverty’ is the new platform launched alongside a new pledge to be ‘Here until food poverty isn’t’ went beyond conventional campaign thinking to provide an actionable way for local business, corporates and individuals to make an enduring commitment to serve its local communities.
